The Forum for Air quality Modelling (FAIRMODE) is a joint response action of the European Environment Agency (EEA) and the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC). Its aim is to bring together air quality modellers and users in order to promote and support the harmonised use of models by EU member countries, with emphasis on their application to the European Air Quality Directive.
The next FAIRMODE plenary is now scheduled the last week of May. A preliminary agenda will be distributed shortly.
Stakeholder Expert Group meeting on Thematic Strategy on Air Pollution. The draft document is now available: "Draft recommendations from FAIRMODE to the review of the EU Air Quality Policy".
Survey on station representativeness is now available. Please return by 31 October.
The first FAIRMODE guidance document is now available as the EEA technical report: 'The application of models under the European Union's Air Quality Directive: A technical reference guide'.

IGACs’ biennial open science conferences are the primary mechanism for dissemination of scientific information across the atmospheric chemist community. The theme of the 2012 IGAC conference is “Atmospheric Chemistry in the Anthropocene”.
